All new employees participate in an eight-week Protective Services CORE training, split between four weeks of classroom education in Albuquerque and four weeks of on-the-job training.
Our Protective Services workers improve outcomes for children in New Mexico by responding to reports of maltreatment, providing voluntary services to at-risk families, providing safe homes for children in out-of-home care, working with families to address issues that contribute to child maltreatment, and working to increase and support foster and adoptive homes for maltreated clients.
